At Kings Park School, our first priority is helping every learner feel safe, settled and that they truly belong.

Many of our learners have experienced disrupted education or have previously found it difficult to access school successfully. We understand that returning to education takes time. Before we think about curriculum, attainment or academic progress, we focus on rebuilding trust, developing secure relationships and helping each learner become a valued member of our school community.

Reintegration looks different for every learner. Simply entering the building, staying for longer, connecting with a trusted adult or beginning to engage alongside others can represent significant progress. We meet learners at their individual starting points and give them the consistency, understanding and support they need to reconnect with education at a pace that is right for them.

Once learners feel safe, understood and that they belong, we gradually introduce a broad, ambitious and personalised curriculum that supports academic learning, communication, wellbeing, independence and preparation for adulthood.
